7 The preliminary plan is as follows:
8 1)Simulate flat attenuation w/ square wave emission spectrum , no scattering
    9 2) ↑ With Scattering
    10 3) ↑Model UV-Spectrometer results scaled by 2m system measurements.
11 4) Simulations incorporating fluorescence spectrometer results.
12 5) Simulations incorporating (model dependant) normalized fluorescence spectrometer results.

     125) Simulations incorporating (model dependant) normalized fluorescence spectrometer results. The corrections are expected to be very small.

1414The rationale for the individual studies:

20203) Scaled spectra: This would be done with the current emission spectrum in NuWa.
    2121
22 4) Yes, the fluorescence measurements measure the emission spectrum.
     224) The fluorescence measurements measured the emission spectrum for the Scintillator produced in the BNL lab using the purified LAB and scintillating compounds that will be used in LS production at Daya Bay. These should be integrated into NuWa after the basic optical models are confirmed.
    2323
24245) The light emitted in the fluorescence cell must travel from 0-10 cm before detection in the photodetector. Along that distance it can be absorbed, scattered, absorbed and re-emitted, or absorbed and shifted to a different wavelength. From the input spectrum and the output spectra you can extract a normalized fluorescence spectrum. Since NuWa seperates emission, absorption and scattering these effects must be parameterized separately. Since none of these things are really measured completely independant of one another, you must develop a model to separate the effects in the available data. I have the attenuation lengths from the 2m measurements I made, the fluorescence results from Jim Cumming's measurements and the scattering effects from a model.
