Even if you already have a variety of goal setting strategies in position, I had like to share another one with you that I recently integrated into my day. The seed for this particular post was planted on Oct 29, 2008 while attending the Success Blueprint Workshop put on by Master Certified Coach Andrew Barber-Starkey of the ProCoach Success System. Andrew indicated that one of the best ways to develop self confidence and to achieve your targets will be to always search for methods to "Impress Yourself".
Impress Yourself Screen-saver I find "Impress Your-self" to really be one of the better motivational quotes I've heard and wished to get it someplace highly-visible in my daily life. I thought the greatest place to set this motto was on my screen for a screen-saver. With this innovative idea I'd be seeing the inspirational quote "Impress Yourself" floating across my computer monitor many times on the day. My plan was this visual aid would remind me of my previous target setting activities, so I could re-focus my efforts and continue ahead.
The Generation of a Concept While I found the screen-saver to be a powerful technique, this next thought I found to get even more so! I visited Bob Proctor's weekend seminar "Create Your Own Personal Market" in May 2009. Both Bob Proctor and Gerry Robert were at this seminar. I find both of these entrepreneurs to be great educators and feel inspired and motivated by what they need to say. Thankfully, I was able to obtain a picture of myself with each of these men at this summit. I intended to use these pictures as one of my desktop themes. I understood seeing these photos every day would help me in the area of self improvement and motivation.
This presented me with a dilemma. Up to the stage, I was rotating the download desktop wallpaper picture on my own computer screen on a semi regular basis, normally using my kids individually or jointly at different occasions or stages of their lives. Like I did not think my children would enjoy being displaced from my computer screen, I opted to make a straightforward photograph collage of my children and educators.
A Simple Photo Collage In my first effort to make my own free wallpaper image search featuring my children and educators, I used Microsoft Word. I added the photos to a page of the Word document and added the motivational quote "Impress Yourself". I copied and saved the file in Paint for a.jpg and used it as my pc wallpaper. This simple photograph collage inspired me on a daily basis as I saw it each time I was working in the pc.
The Big-picture Collage Notion Across the same time while I was working on my own basic Term collage, my nine year old daughter was creating a huge photo collage using PowerPoint. She was pasting several photos onto the same slide and overlapping them. Like I saw her create her masterpiece, my thoughts raced to create one of my own. It became immediately evident that creating a photo collage in PowerPoint was substantially quicker and easier than using Word. You can certainly drag pictures round the slide, arrange their layout when you wish and overlap the photos.
Building My First Big Picture Collage For my first large picture collage, I added about 75 pictures to a regular Power-point slide, but I soon realized that unless your screen is exactly the same length and width as a standard piece of paper the photo collage will likely be skewed. I changed the size of my own PowerPoint slide to fit the precise size of my own monitor display, added more pictures, a couple of motivational quotations and saved this picture collage together of my own desktop backgrounds Click Here.
