Just what is a Robot Vacuum Cleaner?

Yes! It does exactly what it is that you're considering, it vacuums. Unlike your standard vacuum, however, this one is slightly different... well it is clever. We aren't referring to artificial intelligence or anything like that. It only does what you request it to do, once you want it done without needing to interfere or drag it around.

A Robot Vacuum Cleaner will vacuum your hard and carpet floors and keep the dirt in a catcher which can be emptied now and then. When it has concluded, the robot vacuum settles on its docking station or speaks to tell you that it is done cleaning. Not bad huh!

What does it look like?
Size issues

Most Robot Vacuum Cleaner like Roomba and Infinuvo Cleanmate are round shaped and stand at three to four inches high and about 12 inches in diameter...

The shell...

To the very best section of the unit you will find the control panel. Some have one or two buttons, others several and others even have an LCD monitor. How about that!

To the front-end of the unit is connected a half-moon shaped springloaded or light touch bumper depending on the brand and model. The fender serves as a sensor for obstacles (walls, furniture, etc.).

The belly of the animal...

The robot vacuum sits on 3 wheels and is rigged with one or many brushes, with respect to the version. You will also notice a variety of science fiction looking detectors that supply your little friend some wisdom. These detectors are used to find stairs or other obstacles.

How can a Robot Vacuum Cleaner work?

Initially the robot sits quietly on its docking station, which many of them have. Keep in your mind to settle the robot as well as the docking station in a open region. Avoid closets or other crowded spaces because they make it very hard for your own Robot Vacuum Cleaner to navigate away and back again to the station.

The docking station has one main function, to charge the batteries between cleaning cycles. How can the robot find its way back to the station you could ask? Good question.

The station casts a light beam to a distance of about 6 feet in a "V" shape which functions as a beacon. During the cleaning cycle, if the robot vacuum senses the light beam, it steers away from the docking station. When the cycle is complete or the battery runs down, the robot uses the light-beam to happily head home to the docking station. Robot owners with no docking station may manually link the vacuum to an outlet for charging using the power supply device supplied with the robot.

Finding its way around: Navigation

No should sit around while your robot vacuum performs a cleansing cycle. The robot navigates using an integrated technologies supplying them with 4 to 5 cleaning modes. Like the robot vacuum-cleaner can use a circle or spiral shape pattern to cover the area. Other modes include following the walls to the middle of the room, zigzagging, crisscrossing in diagonals, and more. It's all part of the robots brains!

What are its limitations?

Lets get started with what a robot vacuum will undoubtedly not do for you. For instance, Robot Cleaner will not function as a moderator or become involved in residence or office disputes, even though they can help by removing the hassle of vacuum cleaning! They may improve your social life in lots of ways. Picture impressing your friends with your Robot Cleaner by scheduling a cleaning cycle at the same time you share appetizers and beverages more info.
