Because I was very small I have been an junkie, avid guide reader and lover of books. A couple of years before I ran across that certain books are highly valued by collectors global and that you might earn a living, also $100,000 or maybe more annually buying and attempting to sell..used books! I could not believe it, until I discovered this 'hidden market' for used books within my local library.
I was in my local, public library one day searching for any information that I could use to produce some funds. I ran across a called, "Collected Books, A Guide To Values."
Since I loved books I was curious about this book and what it was all about. I picked it up and began reading it.
I almost dropped the book on the floor, when I read that a particular book, in my collection, was worth almost $3,500 and I NEVER knew it!
I made a decision to purchase a copy of the Guide and when I started using it I had my entire collection of books to see if any of my other books were 'valuable.'..
I was taken by it several days, but had a Mine on my hands when I was done I realized. I had 22 books that were valued at $200 or even more, and the total value of my 'collection' was $6,275!
The frightening part was I did so not really understand how valuable some of the books within my collection was. Well, allow me to declare that another way- I did not have a 'collection' at least I didn't think they were a 'collection.' I bought books because I liked them.. Used to do not really know they could be VALUABLE. I'd NUMBER CLUE.
