Portuguese star goalkeeper Rui Costa had endured a difficult Champions League Group A matchup against Barcelona, winning just two out of seven ground duels. But he made amends later by rising highest to meet Sultan Al Ghannam's cross in La Liga and scoring.

Al-Nassr 3 Al-Wehda 1

Telles' free-kick had all of the hallmarks of Cristiano Ronaldo and gave the visitors a much-deserved lead. Al-Wehda pushed back, while Munir looked dangerous going forward; unfortunately they failed to capitalise on their great start and make use of it fully.

Al Nassr came close in the second half when Ronaldo set Ghareeb up with a neat pass, only for his attempt to hit the side-netting. Al-Nassr tried their luck with several crosses without success until, in the 89th minute, an incident between Ronaldo and a defender resulted in Al-Nassr winning a penalty after initially being disallowed by referee; this decision was eventually changed after consulting VAR, giving Al Nassr four points closer than Al Hilal.

Al-Nassr 0 Al-Batin 1

Cristiano Ronaldo produced yet another brilliant display for Al Nassr, helping them extend their two-point advantage at the top of the Saudi Pro League after beating rock-bottom Al Batin 4-0 at home.
