Ferguson will remain with the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) until 2028 after signing his first professional contract last October, which ran up until 2026.

He has since become a household name, scoring multiple goals for Brighton & Hove Albion before notching his maiden senior goal for Ireland against Latvia last month in a friendly.

Signing a new deal

Republic of Ireland striker Shane Long has extended his current contract until 2029. Ferguson has attracted the interest of numerous big clubs across Europe including Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool; however he prefers Brighton over all others and signed his new deal tying him down until June 2029.

His meteoric rise since debuting against Chelsea aged 14 has earned him his first competitive cap for Ireland and goal in his Premier League debut against Newcastle this season further cemented belief in him becoming one of the game's premier strikers.
